About Jen

Jen’s Buggy Whip Cakery is a second generation, family owned and operated bakery specializing in wedding cakes, customized cakes, cookies, and cupcakes. Jen’s Buggy Whip Cakery is owned and managed by me, Jen Fulton, where I make everything from scratch and by hand. My husband, Dave, and I live in Findlay, and are each local small business owners.

In 1995, my mother, Lois St. Clair, opened the first Buggy Whip Bakery out of her home. My mom grew up on a farm near Pemberville, Ohio where she began baking cookies, pies, and biscuits as a child using family recipes that dated back several generations. The popularity of those original recipes quickly outgrew the family kitchen. In 1999, the bakery moved to its first location in Bowling Green, Ohio, then later changed locations to my hometown of Wayne, Ohio.

My mom, Lois, takes great pride in using the best ingredients with absolutely no added preservatives, a tradition that I am proud to continue as well.

Rapid growth lead our family to introduce its second location, Jen’s Buggy Whip Cakery, which opened in Findlay in 2012. I own and operate the Findlay location while my mom, Lois, continues to bake at the Wayne location. My dad, Roger, even learned to bake cookies after his retirement to help pitch in.
